Tarek Soubra is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Al Maryah Community Bank, the first independent digital bank in the United Arab Emirates, and a visionary industry leader with 30 years of experience in Banking and Financial Technologies, Systems, and operations. In his current role, and being a founding team member of the bank and the multiple related eco-system financial companies (including AED Stablecoin, the issuer of the first regulated stablecoin in UAE), Mr. Soubra has been leading the development of the group companies’ digital capabilities and the execution of the their digital strategy and programs. Prior to that, Mr. Soubra worked with leading local and regional banks and financial institutions such as National Bank of Kuwait, Al Masraf, Finance House, and North Africa Commercial Bank and has held several senior positions and roles such as CIO, VP Central Operations, and Head of Strategic planning. He also worked as program/project manager for Temenos, the world's leader in banking software, where he successfully implemented several complex core banking system projects at leading local, regional, and international banks and gained his advanced and mastery expertise in Core Banking systems.
