Suvo Sarkar is an international banker with a vintage of 38 years in consumer banking, payments and wealth management across Asia and the Middle East. His last role was to oversee the global retail banking and private banking businesses at Emirates NBD, the most profitable bank in the Middle East. He is also the founder of the region's first digital bank Liv. He has won numerous awards for his work over the years, including the Retail Banker International Lifetime Achievement Award. Suvo currently runs his own advisory business that focuses on data, digitization and design of financial services. His clients include McKinsey & Co, Mastercard and Yubi. He chairs the Middle East advisory board of IBM, is a co-founder and vice chairman of Wealthbrix Capital Partners, a wealth advisory firm out of DIFC, and serves on the advisory boards of a number of fintechs. He is based in Dubai and hosts a popular fortnightly podcast called Money Majlis on banking, technology and marketing.
