Ihab Dorra is a distinguished banking executive with over two decades of experience in retail banking and digital payments. As Chief Consumer Banking & Digital Payments Officer at Banque Misr, one of leading banks in Egypt with an international presence in 9 countries, he leads the bank’s global strategy for personal banking, branch operations, and digital transformation. Since his appointment in 2017, he has been instrumental in driving innovation, customer-centric solutions, and market leadership in Egypt’s banking sector. Under his leadership, Banque Misr has achieved remarkable growth, including a 208% increase in retail loans, a 155% rise in retail deposits, and a significant expansion in digital banking services. His strategic vision has also led to the adoption of cutting-edge payment solutions, the enhancement of internet and mobile banking platforms, and a commitment to sustainable banking practices. Prior to Banque Misr, Mr. Dorra held key leadership roles at Bank Audi, Barclays, and Citibank, where he played a pivotal role in launching and optimizing retail banking services. His contributions have been recognized with numerous industry awards, including accolades for Best Retail Bank, Best Digital Bank, and Best Digital Transformation Program from global institutions like Euromoney, Global Business, and The Digital Banker. Mr. Dorra holds a Banking Diploma from the University of Madison, Wisconsin, USA, an MBA from OUDA, The executive Leadership program at Harvard and multiple certifications in retail banking. He also serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Souhola Company and sits on the boards of Connect and E-Finance.
