Mr. Steven Croker is a Senior Executive with 20+ years of experience and an impeccable track record of delivering from concept to creation a number of business transformation concepts covering the core business model components of strategy, process, technology and people. He was appointed as Head Of Corporate & Investment Banking Services as part of the senior Management structural review from the merged banks of NBAD and FGB (now called First Abu Dhabi bank 'FAB') in April 2017. In this capacity he is responsible for not only ensuring the day to day activities of FAB's CIB Operations run smoothly but is also tasked with creating centralized and streamlined processes, utilizing advanced transformation methodologies and cutting-edge technology. Over the past two years he has led significant achievements in delivering practical, cost efficient solutions for FAB's customer base. Steven started his career with NBAD in February 2015 with a mandate to establish an Internationally recognized operating model for its Global Markets, Custody and Corporate Finance franchise leading to some industry best practice deployment of dedicated Front, Middle and Back office controls from Trade execution to successful settlement and reconciliation of the banks books and records. In addition, Steven has been appointed as a member of the NAWAT Shared Services Company (under the parent of FAB) management committee designed to ensure optimal e2e process flow, efficient straight through processes with a focus on lean/ cost and strong client service principles. Prior to this, Steven worked for UBS in London and Singapore for 10 years in a variety of roles supporting the Investment Banking division. From business management for FX Distribution, Project lead for Dodd Frank reform post the Credit Crisis of 2008 and outlining and deploying the roll out of an Asia Pacific operating model for the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities division of UBS IB. Other initiatives have included systemic roll out and automation for OTC Derivatives process flows, Transaction regulatory reporting and Risk and Control applications designed to streamline and manage Credit and Operational risk indicators. Steven also was a key member of the UBS IB Operations which supported the set-up of its India Service Center (ISC) franchise in the Mid – 2000’s. In the earlier part of Steven’s career, he was an FX trader for a French Investment Bank as well as supporting the Start-up of a Dutch Investment Banking arm in London with a view on Operations/ post trade services deployment. He has sat on a number of board / working group forums including the Bank of England Post Trade Steer Co. in London. In addition, he was a key contributor to UBS University graduate recruitment and training plan along with talks and seminars conducted on dedicated UK campus' regarding Operations best practice, careers, risk and Control principles. Steven is a keen contributor to charitable endeavor - in 2013 he won a UBS Volunteer award for this work with disadvantaged children in South East Asia.
